M.I.S. – The One Stop Shop for All Your IT Needs
Originally providing Business to Business (B to B) solutions
MIS was established in 1981 by the Robert Wan Group to provide IT services to its various companies (pearl farming, wholesale, food, airline, fishing etc) as well as many other companies throughout French Polynesia.
Year after year, MIS enjoyed a fast expansion of its activities, strengthened by its partnership with IBM, the world leader in IT. This was accelerated by the arrival of Cyril Osmont in 1993 as Project Manager and IT Specialist Manager. A proven expert, he imposed his avant-garde vision for software implementation of ERP and business solutions (aeronautics, insurance, retail etc).
In the early 2000s, under the direction of Cyril Osmont, the company developed many additional partnerships with new manufacturers including HP and Lexmark.
MIS is thus the dedicated integrator for IT solutions within the workplace, and addresses the needs of SMEs / SMIs and larger accounts. Solutions include consulting, design and implementation of management software, providing specific hardware and software.
Additionally, to meet the growing demands of enterprises, MIS created a dedicated distribution channel for consumables from the USA, Australia, Europe and Asia. With a large multi-brand stock, MIS presents itself as a key player in the distribution of original supplies, while also providing more economical alternative compatible products.
This strategic positioning as a solutions integrator enabled MIS to offer its customers turnkey solutions and meet their expectations on all their computing needs.
Diversification through trading mass-market products
The strong growth of the market for consumer IT equipment in 2004 sparked an explosion of demand from leading supermarkets (Carrefour, Champion and Hyper U). In response, MIS created a wholesale department, covering 90% of the French Polynesian market.
To provide tailored offerings to match demand, MIS developed new partnerships with global brands including Acer, Xerox and Lenovo.
Moreover, MIS has extended its services to the total multi-brand management of computer consumables at local supermarkets, now positioning itself as the undisputed leader in the distribution of inkjet cartridges throughout French Polynesia.
